More about Emad Turkman

The membership profile encompasses many different disciplines and offers members and their guests networking opportunities throughout the year by means of monthly luncheon or dinner events to meet visiting inward UK trade delegations, to hear from UK Government Ministers and speakers on topics of local interest, all with the interest of enhancing business trade relations between Qatar and the United Kingdom.

The QBBF works closely with the UK Trade Investment office at the British Embassy. Also, the QBBF will be working in tandem with the newly established British Chamber of Commerce in Qatar, all with the same objective of promoting trade relations between our host country and the UK. Prospects also exist for members to widen their business contacts with other expat business groups in Qatar through many joint meetings and functions.

The QBBF will celebrates its 23rd anniversary in 2015 with Qatar now being a recognized market for British goods, services, technology and expertise against a background of massive developments in infrastructure, health, education, sport, transport and security. All of these developments and many more will feature prominently as Qatar moves forward to implement the Qatar National Vision 2030, a strategy which will undoubtedly offer tremendous opportunities for all aspects of British businesses, and we at QBBF are ready to offer all our expertise and experience to help British businesses to play a major role in achieving Qatar’s national vision.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Committee and all the members who contributed to our success in 2014. Also, a special thanks to the British Ambassador, Nicholas Hopton, and the Director of Trade Investment, Gareth O’Brien, along with the rest of the team at the Embassy for their continuous support for our forum.
