September Lunch

The QBBF September lunch will be held on Thursday 18th September at the Ramada Plaza Hotel, Doha in the Venus and Earth Rooms from 12:30pm.

We are delighted to announce that our speaker for this event will be The Right Honorable Lord Woolf.

During his judicial career, Lord Woolf was in turn a member of the Appellate Committee of the House of Lords and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, the Master of the Rolls and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales. During his periods of office he introduced radical reforms to both the criminal and civil procedure. He was also responsible for negotiating substantial changes in the constitutional relations between the Executive, the Legislator and the Judiciary. He has been asked to advise many other countries and courts as to procedural reform including the European Court of Human Rights. He is a judge of the Final Court of Appeal of Hong Kong and President of the Qatar's Financial Center's Civil and Commercial Court. His contribution to the law has been recognized internationally by the conferment of degrees and fellowships by Universities in Britain and other countries. He is a visiting professor at the Law Faculty of University College London. He has broad experience of dispute resolution and is a Chartered Arbitrator and an accredited mediator and a consultant to CEDR. He is a co editor of leading legal text books and a Fellow of the British Academy
